The Fireman Moving Co.

Fireman Moving Company recently moved one of my customer’s contents into her storage spaces at our storage facility. They were all very friendly, courteous, professional, and patient with her moving needs. She was extremely pleased with the service they provided. I’ve been in the storage industry for 23 years and I would highly recommend this company to any of my renting customers, family, or friends. They seem very trustworthy and reliable. The gentlemen who did the moving did a very nice job and I was quite pleased with their work. Unfortunately, the final price charged was more than a third again higher than the estimate I was quoted. If I had known the final cost to me would be over a thousand dollars, rather than the $600 ballpark I was quoted, I would have chosen a different company; that’s quite a different ballpark! As far as I can tell, the discrepancy resulted from the crew volunteering to return the now-empty UBox to Bowling Green for me, and the time they waited in the driveway for the rain to slacken before they left. I feel like if the casual afterthought offer of, “Oh, would you like us just to drop off the trailer for you when we go back to Bowling Green?” was going to be an additional $400, someone should probably have passed along that information rather than just billing after the fact.

Terrible experience for us. They charged us twice the amount of the estimate! It took all day and all evening to move four bedrooms of downsized furniture. Men couldn’t put washer and dryer hook ups back together. Washer ended up leaking on floor. Men couldn’t put bed back together well and had braces and screws left over. It took over a week for someone to come back and fix the bed, after he stood me up once. Most of the men weren’t firemen. One was a college student, nice but untrained. I have moved a lot and this was the worst.
