Mike Hammer Movers moved an elderly family member and stained brand new carpet in multiple rooms with black grease. When it was brought up, they denied responsibility and did nothing to resolve even though it was obvious that they tracked it in on their dolly.

I hired Mike’s Hammer Moving Company for a same-day move during an emergency. I was moving one couch and a king-size bed to an apartment just 10 minutes away. When I called, I asked for an hourly quote and about a possible two-hour estimate. The company assured me that, with two professional movers, the job would take only one hour. When the movers arrived, they took significantly longer than promised. I was shocked to receive a bill far exceeding the original quote. I had been given a set price of $370, paid a $103 down payment, and expected to pay the remaining $267. When a mover called on my behalf to confirm the pricing, the company stated that the quote was “never guaranteed.” I feel misled and taken advantage of, especially since I was moving under stressful circumstances with no local support. The movers appeared professional, but taking over an hour to move just two pieces of furniture is unreasonable. I expected honesty and integrity from a family-owned business, but this experience was extremely disappointing. I will not recommend Mike’s Hammer Moving Company due to their dishonesty and lack of transparency.
